Shane Theriot – Bio, Songs, Books & More

Shane is currently the Musical Director for Daryl Hall’s TV show, Live From Daryl’s House, as well as performing live with Hall and Oates. Originally from the New Orleans area, recording and/or live experience with The Neville Bros, Jewel, Willie Nelson, LeAnn Rimes, The SYN (with Chris Squire/Alan White from YES), Boz Scaggs, Leni Stern, Little Feat, Sam Moore (Sam and Dave) Idris Mohammed, Aaron Neville, and many others.

Shane has also written several instructional books and columns published in Guitar Player magazine and Guitar Nine. One of the more successful and well-known of these is the instructional book/CD entitled New Orleans Funk Guitar, available from Warner Bros. Publications.

His solo records, Highway 90, and The Grease Factor feature hometown rhythms and sounds, which he describes as second-line grooves with a touch of Zydeco and burning guitar.
